How verification works
A verified badge means RectoPages reviewed the details the business or professional gave us and approved them. Tap the badge on any profile to see what was checked and when.
What we review
- Businesses: identity and listing details, plus supporting documents where they are relevant to the business. We don't require GST for every business.
- Professionals: identity and profile details, plus qualifications or certifications where they apply to the profession.
- Documents are used only for review. They are never shown on a public profile, and registration numbers are not displayed.
Verification and membership are separate
Verification is a decision made by our reviewers. Membership is a paid plan that includes the badge and other tools. Payment never approves anyone, and the badge appears only when both are in place: approved details and an active membership. If a membership ends, the profile, reviews and history stay, and the badge is hidden until it is renewed.
What verification does not mean
Verification is not a guarantee of service quality, financial standing, safety or customer satisfaction. Read reviews, compare options and use your own judgement before you buy or hire.
Older badges
Before this process, some listings could switch on a badge themselves. Those badges are being phased out. A profile showing one says so in its badge details, including the date it ends.
